I think the illustration and animation modes are a bit confusing.
What are normally called animation; drawing a sequence of frames or moving objects along time, is here called Illustration.
The playback of the drawn sequence is here called Animation.
I would rather have;
Animation (prev. illustration) and Player (prev. animation).

I must say your argument is good. Those names were chosen 7 years ago, maybe more. So, it's very possible that they need to be changed.
The only thing I don't like about it is that I will have to fix all the manuals in the wiki site XD
Anyway, I will fix those names for the software pretty soon. Thank you for your suggestion.
